We are a multicultural and interdenominational church. As a result often our members who were born outside of Canada come to service in their national dress. Some come dressed casually and others in suit or Sunday dress. You are encouraged to dress as you feel comfortable.
Sunday Morning Visit 10:30 am
If you are arriving by car, parking is available in the church lot, or at the City Parking Garage at the corner of Charles and Benton (free on Sundays). You will be met just inside the door by one of our Greeters. They will be glad to give you specific directions to the children’s ministry department or other needed facilities. The ushers are there also to assist you with directions. Our service begins by the music to worship the Lord. We love to sing praises to the Lord and you are free to stand or sit during that time. The music time ( usually 30 minutes) is followed by upcoming announcements and a time of giving. This giving (called the offering) is voluntary, please do not feel obligated. The pastor or one of our ministers will present a Bible message to assist you in your spiritual walk. The service will close with an opportunity of a special prayer for any who desired.
The Children on Sunday morning are welcomed in our children’s ministry program. A Greeter or Usher will help you find the age-appropriate class for your child. Or if you prefer they may stay with you in the morning service. It will be necessary to sign the children into the class and they will be kept there until you return for them. Because of this, it would be good to arrive 5-10 minutes early.
Sunday Evening Visit 6:30 pm
The Sunday evening service follows the same format as Sunday morning with the exception of the children’s ministry. Special children’s programs take place on Sunday evening at various times through the year. Consult the “This Week” information for the latest update on the Sunday night children’s program.
The EDGE Youth Department Service is running simultaneously to the adult Sunday evening service. Your teenagers (13-18) are invited to join with them. An Usher or Greeter will help you find the Youth Department. If you would prefer, your teenagers can stay with you in the adult service.
We trust your first visit will be an enjoyable experience and result in many more visits with us.
